Emery Brooks, your Junior Miss Yellow Rose is member of Bluebonnet 4-H club in Cherokee County, going on my 5th year. My family and I love Jesus and we love living on a small farm. We raise dairy mostly, but I also raise lambs and chickens. We have beautiful colored eggs that we eat and sell year round as well as a garden in the spring. In my extra time, I play piano, enjoy reading and I love to cook, especially sweets! With this title, I want to bring more awareness and help show the endless opportunities in agriculture. One of my favorite contests with 4-H is food challenge, getting to cook and compete with friends! We love agriculture because it’s a healthier lifestyle for body and soul. It’s not only fun, but we’re learning so many qualities that we will need as we grow up such as responsibility, work ethic, and compassion. Raising livestock helps me build my character along following Jesus as well as teaching me how to raise my own food. Being a farm girl is sometimes hard with all that comes with it, but the reward from it is life changing.
